Carriers of the Cross
Core Beliefs
These are the very foundational beliefs of the guild leadership, based on the Bible, and may not be the beliefs of it's members or guild alliances that we may be partnered with.

The Trinity

* The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist as one being, eternally existing in three persons. (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17, John 1:1-2)

God the Father

* The Lord is the one true God. (Jeremiah 10:10)

Jesus the Son

* Jesus, being God, lived a perfect and blameless life, so that He could take the punishment of sin for us. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
* Jesus died on a cross to take the punishment of sin in our place, and was raised from the dead three days later. (Luke 24:6-7, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 4:10)
* Jesus will return at the end of the Tribulation and establish the Millennial Kingdom where we will reign with Him for 1,000 years. (Revelation 20:4-6)
* ONLY through Jesus can man be saved from his sinful state and forgiven by God of all wrongdoings against Him. (John 14:6, Acts 4:10-12)

The Holy Spirit

* It is the Holy Spirit that convicts us of our sin, confirms that we are regenerated after repentance and encourages us to keep a lifestyle void of sin

The Word of God
* We believe that the Bible in its entirety is the Word of God, inspired and protected by God to be inerrant and perfect.
It is the only book that we can fully trust and need to model our lives by. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Sin

* Sin greatly offends God, to Him every sin is horrible and disgusting.
* All men have sinned, greatly offending God and falling short of His perfect standard. (Romans 3:23)
* Our sin nature is inherited from Adam and will continue as long as we are in these fleshly bodies.(Romans 5:12-14)
* The penalty of sin is death, an eternal separation from God.
Hell is the place where these people are sentenced to spend for all eternity (2 Thessalonian 1:8-9)

Salvation

* Salvation (forgiveness) of our sins comes solely through faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of our sins, and His grace to us, (Ephesians 2:8, Romans 10:9, Acts 3:19, John 3:16, John 14:6) not by any works or anything man can do. (Ephesians 2:9)

NOTE

Repentance is not regret, repentance means that you know what you did is wrong and you make a commitment to turn your life around.
Regret means that you feel sorry for what you did, or for getting caught, and you do not turn your life from sin.

God's Law - The 10 Commandments

* The 10 Commandments is the law that shows us how sinful we are, and that is the only way we can know the need for our salvation and be fully prepared to turn our lives over to Jesus.

Life of a Christian

* Being a Christian does not require any works, but a true faith in Jesus Christ will produce works, and it will produce a desire for us to follow God's law and stay far away from sin. (2 Timothy 2:19)
* You cannot live for both the world and for God, you choose one or the other.
If you are choosing to live a lifestyle of sin then you are not following Jesus.
* It is the responsibility of the church to confront those who call themselves Christians with love when they are sinning.
If the person continues to live in sin even after several confrontation, then the person is to be excommunicated from the body until that person comes to repentance.

Tribulation

* We believe in a literal seven-year tribulation where God pours His wrath on this unbelieving world.
